My name is David Cyrus MacDonald and I am the host of the Chattel Fixtures PEI Real Estate Podcast. I live in Charlottetown, PEI with my two daughters, Della and Priya, and my miniature poodle, Coco.

My goal with this show is to enjoy learning from interesting conversations about PEI real estate and to share those conversations publicly with you. I have been buying and selling my own properties on PEI since 2010 and this show is an opportunity to build a greater connection with the community and stimulate learning and growth for me and the listener.

 

My background also includes some other pretty neat stuff! I am a professional musician and have toured around the world, primarily with my band Paper Lions. In that realm, I have visited each major Canadian city at least half a dozen times and have enjoyed particularly long stretches in Toronto and Vancouver. 

 

I have also performed throughout the United States, Australia, Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, the North Pole, and a particularly enjoyable experience with Cirque du Soleil at the 2010 world expo in Shanghai, China. I have opened for and spent time with acts like CAKE, Cheap Trick, and Tokyo Police Club, and had one particularly interesting and engaging conversation with Gene Simmons.

 

Professionally, in addition to my work as a musician, I have performed a number of roles in the music and entertainment industry from managing bands to working as a booking agent, and have had one solitary executive producer credit on a feature film. :)

 

I have hosted and participated on panels with ECMA and Music PEI, hosted a panel on the Confederation Centre Mainstage as part of the Atlantic Immigration Summit in 2019, and have participated as a mentor in ECMA’s mentorship program.

 

Currently, in addition to my full-time work as a REALTOR and part-time work as a professional musician, I am a technology company stock investor.
